Small and/or emerging companies often do not need a fulltime Business Development officer. Or perhaps they are “in between” CIO’s and have not yet found the right individual for their specific company requirements. Whatever the reason, senior management positions cannot be left unfulfilled for long, else the company place itself in undue corporate peril.
